How is aluminum alloy profile formed

The section shapes of industrial aluminum profiles are strange and have a wide range of applications. Other metal materials can not achieve this effect. How did it do that? Let's first look at the main characteristics of aluminum:
1. Formability, aluminum has specific tensile strength, yield strength, ductility and corresponding work hardening rate, which determines the formability of aluminum.
2. Recyclability: aluminum has high recyclability. There is little difference between recycled aluminum and primary aluminum. The recycling cost is low. It is a very environmentally friendly material.
3. Other characteristics: aluminum is non-toxic and does not burn.
These characteristics are the basis for the wide application of industrial aluminum alloy. So how is the aluminum profile formed?
1. The first is aluminum rod casting: the aluminum ingot is heated and melted, a certain amount of alloy elements (magnesium and silicon) are added, and the round rods with different diameters are cast by the casting machine.
2. Aluminum profile extrusion: the aluminum bar is heated to a certain temperature to reach the critical point of aluminum liquefaction, then cut, hot shear, sent to the extruder for extrusion, and extruded to the desired section shape through the die. Then, quenching, quenching methods are air cooling and water cooling. The state of air cooling is T5, and the state of water cooling is T6.
3. Processing of profile after extrusion: the profile is led out by the tractor to reach the required length, cut off by hot sawing, and the profile is moved to the straightening machine by the mobile cooling bed for straightening. (the aluminum profile is soft when it is just extruded) after straightening, cut it with a fixed length saw, install the transfer frame and enter the aging procedure.
4. Artificial aging: heating the material into the aging furnace to a certain temperature and holding it for 2-3 hours can significantly improve the mechanical properties of aluminum profiles, especially the hardness.
5. Surface treatment: Anodizing - the sulfuric acid solution is connected to the DC power anode for redox reaction, and then a layer of dense and porous oxide film is formed on the surface, and then the hole is sealed. The aluminum profile will be more wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Electrostatic spraying - the Faraday effect of electric current and electric field is used to evenly adsorb the small particles of powder coating on the material surface. It can protect aluminum profiles.
The surface treated aluminum profile is more corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant and the service life is greatly increased.
